Full-Face Microneedling Treatment in Austin

Dr. Obayan uses Micro needling to address dark marks, acne scars, and improve your skin’s texture.

What is Micro-needling?

Micro-needling is a minimally-invasive skin procedure that involves using a device that makes ultra tiny perforations in the skin. The perforations stimulate the skin to make more collagen. Collagen is what makes skin look smoother and firmer. It is used to treat scarring from things like acne and stretch marks, and can even treat aging skin.

What are the benefits of Micro-needling?

Micro-needling can help make skin appear firmer and smoother by helping it make natural collagen in response to small channels made in the skin. This is a way that you can manage aging skin and scarring by using the body’s natural response to being stimulated by small microchannels placed in the skin by using a micro-needling pen.

How long does it take to see results from Micro-needling?

The benefits of Micro-needling are best seen after several treatments. Because it requires the skin to heal itself after receiving the tiny channels to the skin brought on by the micro-needling pen, it takes several weeks for the skin to show an improvement in its texture and appearance.

Is Microneedling Permanent How long does it last?

While the effects of Microneedling are long-lasting, it cannot reverse the effects of aging so, if you are using this procedure for aging, you may need to have it done again in the future. If done for scar tissue, Microneedling can have a positive and permanent effect on the appearance of your skin.

What are the side effects of Microneedling?

Because this procedure involves small channels, it can feel scratchy to the skin to have done. There will be redness of the skin for up to a couple of days after having Micro-needling done. In addition, the skin will be more sensitive to the effects of the sun so you’ll need to use sunscreen afterward
